Entry 2,603 - Sunday, Nov 16, 2025 at 6:47 AM Some might wonder how I can read ACIM and also be a part of a Christian church such as the LDS church, and the Holy Megillah (even parts of the gospels in the mainstream Bible) help to demystify that perplexing question. Many times when Jesus would heal someone, he would say, "Your sins are forgiven you." But also, he didn't need to say that. There were times where he merely said, "Rise up," but the same effect took place: the person experienced deliverance. Take that same idea and apply it to when Jesus did the atonement. Many Christians believe it was only on the cross. LDS are unique from that mainstream viewpoint in that they believe it was in the garden, during and after, which was all part of the atonement. So it wasn't a single moment where he needed to be sacrificed to appease God, but rather his life (as expressed in the garden before, during, and after) was successful in atoning for our sins.
